Beach Plein Aire

Spent some time at a beautiful beach, this summer(2016),
here is a photo of the tide pools in Carpinteria.
Plein air painting is such an important part of art learning.
I do not partake in it enough, but at the beach,
we had plenty of time to chill and I had some days to
study the surf and the beautiful beach.
One can get mesmerized by the rolling repetitive beauty of the
waves, trying to capture their spontaneity is challenging for me
and gives me big respect for those artists who paint the sea and
                                surf with ease.

There were sooooo many other beautiful objects and animals to
observe, such as these cute sea anenomes in the shallow tide pools,
not to mention the seals and the sea crabs!
Even when the tide rolled away, it left beautiful designs in the sand,
                                decorated with interesting sea rocks.
There even seemed to be a few rocks, that felt the need to voice their opinions!
We even got the opportunity to ride horses on the beach!  I do not get
that chance often and it was quite delightful!
